29 June 2010 Meeting Notes
For our June 2010 meeting Eric Johnson from Personify Design did a presentation of how user registration can be configured within DotNetNuke. He demonstrated how to configure custom profile properties so that they can be required during registration. Then we jumped into some code to show how a very basic registration module can be created with only three required fields (First Name, Last Name, and Email Address). Check back soon as we will post the code samples to share!
25 February 2010 Meeting Notes
For our second official meeting Eric Johnson from Personify Design did a presentation of how to easily create a new module within DotNetNuke. As an example he showed how you can easily create a module setting for a Google RSS setting and have the feed rendered on the module.

Present: Eric, Michael, Quinn, Scott, John & Peter?
Summary
Our second meeting was basically a social meet & greet held at Personify Design’s Belltown offices.Someone else took notes (I hope) so these are just a placeholder to say a bunch of good topics were discussed -like many of the new announcements from Open Force in Las Vegas.
20 October 2009 Meeting Notes
Present: Eric, Michael, Quinn, Scott & John
Summary
The formative meeting of the DotNetNuke Seattle User Group took place at Stellar Pizza, in south Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. In between lots of discussion, and a few slices and pints, we explored our level of expertise as developers and designers, our familiarity with DotNetNuke (all had extensive technical knowledge), our goals for the new User Group (one of some 20 around the country/globe), and a bit about our families and personal lives.
We also reached initial consensus on future meetings. Pending feedback from others, it seemed convenient to tentatively schedule future meetings for the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Eric offered use of his comfortable office space in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. November’s meeting would have conflicted with Open Force US, so will be moved back a week and is envisioned as just a working session to craft the new website. December’s would be a social meet and greet, and January’s meeting might have a speaker, possibly from DNN Corp if Scott can arrange that.
We took some first steps for a proposed web site for our group too. Scott offered to arrange for a domain name and hosting. He will also start looking at creating an XSL transform for the Form and List Module that will allow members to post profiles of themselves on the site. Michael will float some ideas for a logo.
We also decided on a series of upcoming meeting dates, all to be held at Personify Design’s offices, 1931 2nd Ave, Suite 500,Seattle, WA 98101.
